Things to Do
Wells Beach Maine, located on the Southern Maine coast, nestled between the resort towns of Ogunquit Maine and the Kennebunks, has long been a
premier Maine vacation destination. Well loved for its seven miles of beautiful sandy beaches, miles of trails through wildlife preserves, antique shops,
restaurants and family fun, you just might want to consider Wells Beach for all or part of your next Maine vacation.
While Wells Beach Maine doesn't have the compact, village feel of many of Maine's vacation destinations, it does offer a great location and lots to do.
Generally more affordable than its neighbors, great family vacations are made here. Families with young children will find many outdoor places to let active
little ones use up all their boundless energy!

Wells Maine Hotels
Wells offers a good bunch of hotels, motels and vacation rentals for the many tourists who travel here each year. Some found on the beach and many located
along Route 1, you'll find a good, affordable place to call home for your vacation, no doubt.
Lafayette's Oceanfront Resort is a great hotel with an even better location - right on the beach. Consisting of a few different buildings, they have a pool
which is great for the kids. My husband and I stayed here in the off season and found it to be very clean, with a comfortable bed and a spectacular view of the
ocean. It's not fancy, but it is a wonderful place to stay on Wells Beach for its location. Also right on the beach is the Atlantic Oceanfront Motel.
Wells also offers a good variety of lodging options like campgrounds, cottages, resort condominiums and beach house vacation rentals.

Wells Maine Restaurants
What I like about the restaurants in Wells Beach is this - as a more year-round community, there is a good selection of restaurants that
are reasonably priced. Why? Because they cater to locals as well as tourists!
Some of my favorite dining experiences have been in Wells Beach Maine. My husband and I had a wonderful time at Joshua's restaurant, which probably ranks
right up there on my favorite restaurants in Maine list. My family loves The Steakhouse restaurant. The Maine Diner in Wells (voted the favorite
diner in New England) is good for
Of course you'll find a great selection of lobster and seafood too. And if you don't find what you are looking for in Wells, a quick trip to Ogunquit
or the Kennebunks will provide more than enough choices.
