Rockland Maine Lodging
Hotels, B &
B's, Vacation Rentals
Your choices for Rockland Maine lodging are interesting - in the downtown area where all the action is, there are a few mediocre hotels and some
outstanding bed and breakfast inns.
If I was staying in Rockland, I'd go for the B &
B's, or head up to Rockport or Camden to stay in one of the hotels there, since these towns are within a
short drive. There is also the Hampton Inn and Suites Rockland, which is actually in Thomaston on your way to Rockland (very close to the harbor). I'd go here before staying
at one of the hotels downtown at the waterfront.
I like to cover the best, so for this discussion of Rockland Maine lodging, I'm highlighting the Rockland bed and breakfast inns!
The Lime Rock Inn
Let Frank and PJ welcome you warmly into this gorgeous Victorian home for one of the best B &
B experiences you'll likely ever have. Located at 96 Limerock Street, just a couple blocks from Rockland's downtown and waterfront, you'll love the attention to detail, ultra-comfortable
beds with luxurious linens and warm rooms - many with fireplaces and jacuzzi tubs.
Make yourself at home on the porch, awarded the best wraparound porch by Yankee Magazine! Enjoy the wonderful gardens too. Breakfast will delight you and
if you have special dietary requirements, that won't be a problem. At $159 to $239 a night during the summer, you'll leave feeling like you definitely got
your money's worth, longing for the day you'll return.

The Berry Manor Inn
I just love the look of the Berry Manor Inn - it really wows you when you drive up. A beautiful Victorian bed and breakfast with completely
accomodating hosts Cheryl and Mike, you'll really enjoy your stay at this unpretentious Rockland Maine lodging choice. They like to have fun here and it's
a bit of a quirky place, so if you prefer stuffy and sophisticated, you might look elsewhere!
I have to say, I just might choose this bed and breakfast inn because of the phenomenal pies (yes, pies!) that are available 24/7 in the guest pantry! Made
by the moms of Cheryl and Mike, these ladies are famous (they were featured on the Food Network!) and guests of the inn get to have all they want.
Of course the rooms are wonderful, most with fireplaces. Guests are served a delicious breakfast at individual tables. Rates at the Berry Manor Inn
run between $175 and $275 during the summer.

The Captain Lindsey House
Of the inns I've covered here, the Captain Lindsey House is the closest to Main Street and the waterfront. Ken and Ellen will make you feel welcome at
this wonderful historic building. Rooms are tastefully decorated, beds super comfy with wonderful linens and the breakfasts are a real treat.
For $188 to $218 per night in the high season, the inn is reasonably priced for the location and accomodations. Many return again and again to enjoy
the Rockland area, making the Captain Lindsey House their home away from home.

While these inns are the best of the best in Rockland Maine lodging, there are many more options in the area. Rockport and Camden are right up the road
so to speak and offer many great luxurious and affordable options for hotels and Camden is known for its awesome B &
B's. If you decide to make Rockland your home away from home for a day or a week, choose one of these great bed and breakfast inns and have a wonderful
