Family Resorts, Stunning Oceanfront Lodging,
Affordable Comfort - Ogunquit Has It All!
So many choices in Ogunquit hotels!!! Are you looking for stunning ocean views from your room? Ogunquit has it. How about a great family resort with
lots of amenities? Ogunquit has it. Maybe an clean, simple and affordable hotel is what you're after. Ogunquit has it!
Ogunquit is a small town, yet it packs a big punch in the way of accommodations. Hotels can be found everywhere, and because of the town's compact size,
most are ideally located near everything Ogunquit has to offer its visitors. With the availability of the trolley, you can park your car at the hotel and
jump aboard to avoid the parking fees at the beaches.
During peak season, you'll definitely want to reserve your room ahead of time since the best motels and hotels in Ogunquit Maine book up quickly. Prices are quite high in summer, to
save money consider visiting Ogunquit in the spring, fall or even winter - each season has its own special qualities and events.
One of the most loved Ogunquit hotels is The Beachmere Inn at 62 Beachmere Place. If you're looking for stunning views of the ocean, this is your
place. Located right on the famous Marginal Way oceanside walking path, you can take in the glory of the Atlantic Ocean from your room, balcony or from your lounge
chair on the lawn.
I like a lot about The Beachmere Inn aside from its great location which is within walking distance to everything. It has many types of rooms (in several different buildings) to choose
from including suites and rooms with fireplaces - perfect for chilly fall or winter days and romantic too! An on-site pub serves cocktails and a
lightfare menu. The grounds are absolutely beautiful! (While they do have spa facilities including a hot tub and sauna, they don't have a pool, so if you
have kids who want this, you might choose another hotel.)
Rates at The Beachmere Inn during the summer run from $180 to $290 per night for rooms, and $300 to $395 for suites. The hotel also has a couple properties
located about 5 minutes from the main resort which have rooms that are cheaper.
You'll have a relaxing stay at the Riverside Motel at 50 Riverside Lane. Rooms here are clean and comfortable and the location and views are great. A quick
jaunt across the picturesque drawbridge brings you into Perkins Cove with its great shops, restaurants and tours that leave from there. Just minutes (walking) from
Marginal Way, you can easily enjoy relaxing walks here high above the beautiful ocean. With its great location, the summer rates of $189-$249 are worth it. With
no pool, this hotel seems to cater more to couples than families, though families are welcome.
If a family friendly resort is what you're looking for, try the Meadowmere Resort at 74 South Main Street. This family run hotel has tons of amenities
and loads of room choices - you'll definitely find something you like. Location is quite good, within walking distance to the center of town, the Ogunquit
Playhouse, and the beach (it's about a 10-15 minute walk so if you're like us and have tons of "kid stuff" to haul, you might want to jump on the trolley!).
The list of amenities at this Ogunquit hotel goes on and on - here are just some of its features - Roman spa, indoor and outdoor heated pools, steam/sauna,
game room, stadium seating TV room, fitness center, continental breakfast, spa services and more! Rooms here in the summer will cost from $129 to $299, family
suites from $219 to $449, and luxury suites from $179 to $429.
There are so many more Ogunquit hotels to choose from, most of which are very nice. The Gorges Grant Hotel, Juniper Hill Inn and Milestone Motor Inn
are all quite nice and are located on Route 1. They offer clean rooms, reasonable rates and nice amenities. If you are looking for a nice place that is on
the cheaper side, check out the Footbridge Beach Motel. About a 5 to 8 minute walk to the beautiful Footbridge Beach, this hotel will cost $150-$180 at
the peak of summer. They do have some large rooms that'll fit families up to 6 and a heated pool.
One of the only Ogunquit hotels to sit right on the beach, the Norseman Resort gives you a beautiful view and ultra convenience of stepping out of your
room and being on the beach. The rooms are clean and good sized. You will of course pay a premium for staying at this motel (not really a "resort" as the name
seems to imply) because of its location on the beach - just be aware that that is what you are paying for - the hotel is clean and comfortable but no frills.
With so many great choices for Ogunquit hotels, you really can't go wrong if you want to spend your Maine vacation in this beautiful little town.
